Funding the Dream. How VC firms evaluate and operate and what changes once you have inventors onboard?
Are you considering or in the process of raising venture capital funding for a game startup? Are you curious how VC firms evaluate and operate? Or what change once you have inventors onboard? We will go through how we think about this and work to evaluate companies at Lvp, a specialized game VC firm that seed funded companies like Supercell, Unity, Natural Motion, Playfish, Bunch, Betadwarf and many more. A VC firm can seem like a black box for game founders. This session will go through how a VC operates; what elements we consider when we evaluate investing in a game startup; typical problems and weaknesses we find in pitches; and try to give some advice and better understanding around how to approach and pitch for funding for games companies.
