Serverless brings you on the right path to adopt microservices. But the distinction between technologies and processes should not be underestimated, and common pitfalls are still there, ready to slow down your development with the risk of creating a "distributed monolith". In this session, we’ll see how to build scalable projects, developed by small, agile teams on top of tools such as AWS Lambda and the Amazon API Gateway. We’ll look for tools beyond just functions, understanding the importance of architecture design and system integration, to support a continuous deployment strategy.

These tools are immensely powerful but it’s a delicate dance to get them to play nice. This talk is full of tips and tricks to get you there. After years of tooling around with Webpack and Babel at Netflix, LinkedIn, and Reddit I’ve gotten some battle-won knowledge that I’d like to share with you all. Some non-intuitive tricks that lead to smaller bundles, faster parse times, browser-engine opts and de-opts, and faster perceived loads.

Desde 2014 Jorge Coronado ha estado colaborando en más de 10 casos de personas desaparecidas. Desde entonces ha estado trabajando en desarrollar aplicaciones y protocolos que ayudan a la extracción de información que puedan proporcionar diferentes líneas de investigación sobre posibles ubicaciones del cuerpo a encontrar. Desde entonces ha seguido elaborando más aplicaciones, creando Dante’s Gates, una aplicación con el eslogan“¿Qué sabe Internet sobre ti?”. Dicha aplicación, no solo proporciona información de un dato en concreto, sino también permite crear búsquedas de perfiles concretos y herramientas para realizar investigaciones de gran interés para cuerpos de seguridad, detectives y periodistas.
